U.S. military planners evaluate potential scenarios regarding Cuba

U.S. military planners are reportedly evaluating various scenarios for potential action against Cuba. Following statements from President Donald Trump regarding Cuba, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated that ‘all options are on the table, including military.’

Reports indicate that the Pentagon has conducted ‘Concept of Operations’ (CONOPS) discussions, which involve detailing mission objectives, troop requirements, logistics, and risks. One scenario researched involves an airborne attack led by the Army’s 101st Airborne Division. Additionally, the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) has examined potential Cuban responses to a U.S. strike.

Despite these planning efforts, there is currently no official decision to launch an attack or a visible mobilization for an invasion. Pentagon insiders suggest that current efforts are focused on maximizing economic pressure and cutting off Cuba’s revenue sources rather than preparing for a large-scale military or special forces operation.
