U.S. Military Tests ‘Hammer of the Gods’ EW System at Sea

The U.S. Army, Navy and Space Force jointly evaluated the maritime variant of the low‑signature electronic‑warfare emitter ‘Hammer of the Gods’ during Project Convergence Capstone 6. The test, conducted off the California coast in mid‑July 2026, marked the system’s first at‑sea deployment.

The experiment emphasized positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) capabilities, aiming to protect and disrupt these functions for modern precision weapons. Lt. Col. Darrin Hall of U.S. Space Forces Pacific highlighted that counter‑PNT effects can reduce weapon accuracy and increase collateral risk. The trial was supported by U.S. Space Forces Pacific and Naval Base San Diego, integrating the emitter into a broader multi‑domain joint scenario.

‘Hammer of the Gods’ is designed to provide expanded command‑and‑control and operational effects across the electromagnetic spectrum while maintaining a low electromagnetic footprint, supporting future joint warfighting concepts.
