US-Morocco relations strengthened through EducationUSA alumni event

The second annual EducationUSA Alumni Networking Event was held on August 29 at Dar America in Casablanca, aimed at strengthening the bilateral relationship between Morocco and the United States through higher education.

Organized by the U.S. Mission in Morocco, the gathering brought together approximately 200 alumni from cities including Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier, and Dakhla, alongside business leaders and academic partners. Rose Custis, director of Dar America, noted the presence of over 120 leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs at the event.

Christopher Deutsch, the U.S. Consul General in Casablanca, described the connection between the two nations as a ‘historic partnership’ spanning over 250 years. He emphasized that alumni who studied in the United States serve as vital bridges through research, business, and professional exchanges. The U.S. Mission intends to continue facilitating connections between these alumni and academic or professional institutions in both countries.
