U.S. national parks to waive admission fees this Tuesday

All fee-charging U.S. national parks will waive admission fees this Tuesday in honor of the birthday of former President Theodore Roosevelt. Roosevelt, the 26th president, is recognized by the National Park Service as the “conservationist president” for his role in establishing numerous national forests, bird reserves, parks, and monuments.

This waiver is one of eight scheduled free admission days throughout the year. Other designated days include Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, Constitution Day, and the birthday of the National Park Service on August 25. The final free admission day of the year will be Veterans Day on November 11.
