US national security advisors hold secret meeting on Iran and Yemen

Top national security advisors to President Trump held an unannounced, multi-hour meeting at Camp David to discuss potential next steps regarding the conflict with Iran and the Saudi-Houthi conflict in Yemen.

According to reports citing three American officials, the meeting included Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, White House envoy Steve Witkoff, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, and Joint Chiefs Chairman General Dan Caine. One official stated that “decisions were made, or at least in-depth discussions took place” regarding the Middle East crisis.

This meeting is noted as unusual, as it was not officially announced by the administration. Similar high-level discussions were last reported in June 2025, shortly before Israel entered a conflict with Iran. While the meeting suggests potential military planning, no typical large-scale military movements preceding a major operation have been observed at this time.
