The USS Abraham Lincoln has been deployed for over 240 consecutive days, significantly exceeding its original May return date. While Admiral Brad Cooper has defended the crew's performance, lawmakers have raised concerns regarding the sustainability of such long-term deployments.

Analysts suggest that the temporary absence of a U.S. carrier in the Pacific may allow China to increase its regional influence and project strength toward allies such as Japan and the Philippines. While experts do not expect an immediate invasion of Taiwan due to this shift, the gap provides Beijing with a strategic opportunity to challenge the U.S. security guarantee in the region.
