US networks suspend presidential coverage after White House vetoes media outlets

Major United States television networks, including ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox, have suspended their participation in the joint presidential coverage pool. This collective action follows the White House's decision to veto access for CNN, MS NOW, and Politico, which the administration claims are spreading “fake news.”

In response to the exclusion of these outlets, the White House launched its own platform, Trump TV. The service debuted with a broadcast of a speech delivered by President Donald Trump at Mount Rushmore on July 3, rather than live coverage of current events.

The excluded media outlets have filed legal challenges against the administration, arguing that the veto violates their constitutional rights under the First Amendment. The dispute occurs while the President is in New York for the United Nations General Assembly.
