US Open 2026 Sets Record $96 Million Prize Pool as Tournament Approaches
The United States Tennis Association announced that the 2026 US Open will feature a record total prize pool of $96 million, a 20 % increase from 2024 and the highest in Grand Slam history. Singles champions will each receive $5 million, doubles teams $750,000, mixed‑doubles champions $1 million, and first‑round losers $100,000.
The tournament runs from Monday 24 August to Sunday 13 September 2026 at Flushing Meadows in New York. Defending men’s champion Carlos Alcaraz of Spain returns after his 2025 victory, while Italy’s Jannik Sinner is the betting favorite to claim the title.
