U.S. Open revokes credentials of two social media influencers

Two New York-based social media influencers, Meg Radice and Audrey Jongens of ‘The VIP List’, had their credentials revoked during the U.S. Open at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

Radice and Jongens claimed they were removed after posting images of their credentials on social media while dining at a tournament restaurant. They stated they were unaware that sharing such images was a violation of the rules.

However, the United States Tennis Association (USTA) disputed this account. A USTA spokesperson stated that the individuals were not properly credentialed as media or content creators, but were instead improperly submitted on a staff list provided by a food vendor. This incident occurs amid increased scrutiny regarding the impact and behavior of content creators at the tournament.
