US conducts 13th consecutive night of airstrikes on Iran
The United States Central Command announced a fresh wave of strikes against Iranian military targets, marking the 13th night in a row of attacks aimed at reducing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The campaign featured the first use of a B‑1B Lancer long‑range bomber launched from a base in the United Kingdom, targeting IRGC command centres, maritime infrastructure, drone storage facilities and air‑defence systems. Iranian state media reported explosions in Ahvaz, Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island and other locations, with at least four people killed and five wounded in the Ahvaz area. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed it had struck U.S. facilities in Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain and other regional bases, and warned that any country allowing U.S. attacks on Iran would face retaliation. Bahrain activated air‑raid sirens as the strikes concluded. President Donald Trump reiterated that any damage to commercial vessels would be paid with Iranian‑controlled funds and threatened further destruction of Iranian infrastructure if attacks continued. The heightened confrontation has pushed global oil prices toward $100 a barrel and raised concerns over wider regional escalation.
