US Removes Export Controls on Anthropic AI Models

The U.S. Department of Commerce announced the removal of export restrictions on artificial‑intelligence firm Anthropic’s advanced models, including the Fable and Mythos series. The earlier national‑security‑based suspension of these models has been lifted and the mandatory export license requirement eliminated.

Anthropic said the decision allows the company to resume offering the Mythos 5 and Fable 5 models to users worldwide. The firm also committed to collaborate with U.S. authorities on security standards, risk identification, and reporting mechanisms for potential misuse.
