U.S. Rep. Hamadeh discusses Syrian political integration with Abdi and Ahmed

U.S. Representative Abraham Jamal Hamadeh held telephone discussions with Mazlum Abdi and Ilham Ahmed to congratulate them on their peaceful integration into Syria’s new government.

According to Hamadeh’s office, Abdi has taken on the role of Advisor to President Shara for Kurdish Affairs, while Ahmed is identified as a candidate for the Syrian Parliament. Hamadeh expressed gratitude to both individuals for their roles as U.S. partners in the fight against ISIS.

The discussions emphasized their significant political influence in Damascus and their contributions to building a country that reflects Syria’s diverse mosaic. Hamadeh, who represents Arizona’s 8th District, indicated that he will maintain communication channels with all parties working toward peace and prosperity in Syria.
