US seasonal baby name trends show popularity gaps

Data from the Social Security Administration reveals significant differences in the popularity of seasonal and weather-related baby names in the United States. While Autumn ranks 88th among girls' names with over 2,800 births in 2025, October remains rare, with only 49 babies receiving the name last year.

Other notable trends include August, which reached a record 3,958 births for boys in 2025, ranking 81st. June has seen a vintage comeback, climbing to 150th for girls, while Summer remains steady at 152nd. In contrast, the name Winter has seen a recent decline in popularity after peaking in 2022.
