US Semiquincentennial Marks 250 Years with Events and Limited‑Edition Gear

Vortex Optics introduced a limited‑edition Diamondback HD Patriotic 10×42 binocular to commemorate the United States' 250th anniversary. The optic, priced at $329.99, features patriotic blue rubber armor, a 1776–2026 focus‑wheel badge and retains the standard HD optical system, waterproof and shockproof construction.

At the same time, the Sail250 program staged a series of maritime celebrations in major U.S. ports—including New Orleans, Norfolk, Baltimore, New York/New Jersey, and Boston. More than 60 military vessels and tall ships from 20 countries participated, with the U.S. Coast Guard overseeing safety and security. Over seven million visitors toured historic ships such as the ELISSA, Mayflower II, USS Constitution and USCG Eagle, making the events one of the largest gatherings of international tall ships in U.S. waters.
