US Social Security July 2026 payment dates released

The Social Security Administration (SSA) announced the July 2026 payment calendar. Beneficiaries born between the 11th and 20th of any month will receive their benefit on Wednesday, July 15. The first group (birthdays 1‑10) was paid on July 8, and the third group (birthdays 21‑31) is scheduled for July 22. Recipients whose benefits are combined with Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or who began receiving benefits before May 1997 already received payments on July 1 (SSI) and July 2 (Social Security), regardless of birthdate.

About 71.3 million retirees, disabled workers and survivors receive an average monthly benefit of $2,029.92 for retirement, $1,496.16 for disability and $1,631.39 for survivors. Payments are mainly made by direct deposit; an alternative is the Direct Express debit card. Beneficiaries can check or update banking information through the “My Social Security” portal.
