U.S. Social Security payment dates for June 2026 released

The Social Security Administration has published the June 2026 benefit schedule for the more than 71 million Americans who receive retirement, disability, survivor or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments. SSI recipients are paid on June 1, while beneficiaries who began receiving benefits before May 1997 continue to receive payments on June 3. For the majority, payment dates are tied to birth‑date groups: those born between the 1st‑10th receive benefits on Wednesday, June 10; births between the 11th‑20th on Wednesday, June 17; and births between the 21st‑31st on Wednesday, June 24.

The schedule is intended to help recipients budget and plan for bill payments. Analysts note that the Social Security Trust Fund is projected to run out of reserves by 2032 unless reforms are enacted, sparking proposals such as capping annual benefits at $100,000. Any legislative changes would affect future payment structures but not the June 2026 dates.
