U.S. Soy demand grows in the Philippines
At the Soy Connext 2026 event in Chicago, industry leaders discussed the growing demand for U.S. soybean products in the Philippines. John Sy, executive vice president at Foremost Farms, noted that U.S. soybean meal is a preferred source for poultry and pig feed due to its stability in quality.
Sy highlighted that U.S. soy offers consistent levels of crude protein and amino acids, which are essential for animal nutrition. While Foremost Farms utilizes local distributors and consortiums for sourcing rather than direct importing, U.S. soy maintains a strong market share in the Philippines. Demand is expected to rise alongside the country's growing population.
