U.S. Space Force awards $250 M contract to All Points Logistics for Vandenberg processing plant
The United States Space Force has awarded All Points Logistics LLC a $250 million firm‑fixed‑price contract to expand space‑vehicle processing capacity at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The award, selected from four offers by Space Systems Command, is the third National Security Space Launch Space Vehicle Processing commercial solutions opening contract and is part of a public‑private partnership intended to increase launch processing capability by 2029.
The new facility will feature high‑ and low‑bay processing areas, dual encapsulation bays, blast‑rated hazardous‑processing capability, secure mission zones, storage, and advanced communications and monitoring systems. Colonel Dan Highlander, director of operations integration for space access, said the investment is needed to create a launch enterprise that can scale infrastructure and processes for responsive, reliable launch operations. All Points Logistics CEO Phil Monkress said the project will deliver an Infrastructure‑as‑a‑Service capability that strengthens access to space, improves mission throughput, and reduces long‑term sustainment burdens for the government.
