U.S. Space Force used electronic warfare during Maduro capture

The U.S. Space Force has utilized electronic warfare systems to disrupt satellite communications during military operations, including the capture of former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. According to reports, these technologies are used to create a protective shield around deployed forces by interfering with enemy reconnaissance, communications, and navigation satellites.

A key component identified is the “Meadowlands” system, a terrestrial device designed to flood target satellites with high-frequency radio signals. This process saturates frequencies to obstruct information exchange between satellites and ground stations without causing permanent hardware damage. Additionally, the “Bounty Hunter” system serves a more defensive role by detecting signals that could impair U.S. satellite functions.

Military officials, including Lieutenant General Gregory Gagnon, emphasized the strategic necessity of dominating the electromagnetic spectrum to ensure the connectivity of U.S. ships, aircraft, and satellites while hindering adversary coordination.
