U.S. Summer Weather Forecast Shows Haze, Heat and Fire Danger

A smoky haze continues over the Midwest, with the forecast calling for rain on Friday morning across southern Minnesota and north Iowa. The system brings low chances of severe weather and cooler temperatures, ending a hot and dry spell in the region.

Further west, the National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for eastern Idaho. Temperatures are expected to rise into the upper 90s and lower 100°F, with gusty southwest winds and very low humidity creating high fire danger through the weekend.
