Senator Jim Justice, who helped pass West Virginia’s Women’s Sports Protection Act, urged Congress to enact a national “Protecting Women and Girls in Sports Act.” Justice’s proposal failed to win Senate support, but he highlighted the Court’s decision as validation of state‑level restrictions and called for broader federal protection of women’s sports.
