US Survey Shows 12% of Adults Had Sexually Arousing AI Chatbot Chats
A recent survey of roughly 2,000 American adults found that 12% reported at least one conversation with an AI chatbot that aroused them sexually, while 11% said they have dated or sexted a chatbot partner. The same poll revealed that 24% of respondents consider flirting with a chatbot while in a relationship to be cheating, and 36% of Gen Z respondents would view a partner’s chatbot relationship as a deal‑breaker. Age‑group breakdowns showed 2% of Boomers, 9% of Gen X, 16% of Millennials and 27% of Gen Z reported such interactions. Men were twice as likely as women to engage in these behaviours. The findings raise questions about how AI companionship may be reshaping personal relationships in the United States.
