US launches 'economic D-Day' to isolate Iran FAST-MOVING

The United States is launching a massive, coordinated financial offensive against Iran, which Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has termed an 'economic D-Day'. The campaign aims to isolate Tehran by cutting off all economic lifelines, including digital assets, gold, aviation, and shipping sectors. Bessent warned that the U.S. will target any nations or companies, specifically mentioning China, that continue to facilitate Iranian trade or provide 'vital aid' to the regime.

In response, Iranian National Security Council head Mohsen Rezaei warned that any country joining the U.S. economic campaign would be considered an enemy. Rezaei further threatened to target oil export routes beyond the Strait of Hormuz and strike American economic interests in the region if the pressure continues. He stated that 'not a single drop of oil will leave the Persian Gulf' if the conflict escalates.

President Donald Trump has also intensified his rhetoric, describing the Strait of Hormuz as 'new American territory' on social media. Amidst nearly six months of conflict, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian described the current state as 'neither war nor peace,' noting the severe economic strain on the Iranian population.
