U.S. Treasury Launches Whistleblower Portal with Cash Rewards for Fraud Tips

The U.S. Department of the Treasury unveiled a new online whistleblower portal on National Whistleblower Day, consolidating existing Treasury programs into a single website. The portal invites Americans to report fraud, money‑laundering and sanctions violations, offering whistleblowers between 10 % and 30 % of penalties recovered by the Treasury and Justice Departments.

Treasury officials said the initiative supports the White House Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, led by Vice President J.D. Vance, and follows earlier efforts to combat misuse of federal funds, such as the Minnesota "Feeding Our Futures" scandal. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent emphasized the role of whistleblowers in protecting the integrity of the financial system.
