US voters express growing dissatisfaction with Iran war strategy

Recent polling indicates growing public dissatisfaction with the Trump administration’s handling of the war with Iran. A Fox News national survey found that 71% of voters believe the administration lacks a clear strategy to end the conflict. Additionally, 60% of respondents stated that the decision to take military action against Iran was wrong, while 47% believe the conflict will make the United States less safe in the long term.

Complementary data from a Marquette Law School Poll suggests widespread skepticism regarding the war’s objectives. That survey reported that 87% of US adults believe Washington has failed to achieve its goals in the conflict, and 79% feel the war has not been worth its cost. The Marquette poll also noted a decline in favorable views of Israel, with 59% of respondents holding an unfavorable opinion.

Demographic shifts show that opposition to the war is increasing among Hispanic voters, voters under age 30, moderates, and those aged 65 and over. The Fox News poll also noted that President Trump’s approval rating for foreign policy is currently 24 points underwater.
