US White House sees pattern of female departures
A pattern of departures is emerging within the Trump administration, characterized by women leaving high-ranking positions while male officials remain in their roles despite facing significant criticism or allegations.
The discussion intensified following the departure of Press Secretary Katie Zaharia, who left her post only five days after assuming it. Reports indicate that four out of eight women who held senior positions in the Trump administration have already departed, with all their replacements being men.
In contrast, several male officials have maintained the president's confidence despite controversy. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has faced international scrutiny over his actions but remains in office, as has FBI Director Kash Patel, who has faced criticism regarding his conduct. Even Mike Waltz, the only male official to be significantly removed from a top post, was transitioned to the role of US Ambassador to the UN rather than being removed from the political system.
