U.S. women's gymnastics selection event begins in Tennessee

Twelve senior women’s artistic gymnasts are competing for five roster spots at the 2026 World Championships Selection Event. The competition is held from September 30 to October 1 at FlipFest Gymnastics Camp in Crossville, Tennessee.

Notable contenders include seven-time World Championships medalist Jade Carey and two-time medalist Skye Blakely, both of whom are seeking to return to the World Championships stage. Other high-profile athletes include 2024 Olympic gold medalist and two-time U.S. all-around champion Hezly Rivera, as well as Dulcy Caylor, who is aiming for her second consecutive World Championships roster.

The five athletes selected from this event will represent the United States at the 2026 Artistic World Championships, which are scheduled to take place from October 17-25 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
