USA Hockey announces 2026 Women’s World Championship roster
USA Hockey has revealed the 25-player roster for the 2026 IIHF Women’s World Championship, which is scheduled to take place in Herning and Esbjerg, Denmark, from November 6 to 16.
The squad features 20 returning members from the United States team that won gold at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan. Notable veterans include Captain Hilary Knight, who is making her record 16th World Championship appearance, as well as Alex Carpenter, Megan Keller, and Jesse Compher.
Goaltending will be handled by Aerin Frankel and Gwyneth Philips, both of whom were part of the gold-medal-winning Olympic and World Championship efforts earlier this year. The roster also includes rising stars such as Caroline Harvey and Laila Edwards.
Due to the tournament being held in November, the roster lacks several NCAA players, including goaltender Ava McNaughton. Other notable absences include Kendall Coyne Schofield, who is not playing this season due to pregnancy, and Britta Curl-Salemme.
