USA Today Network highlights top American pizzerias and chains

The USA Today Network has released new rankings highlighting top-tier pizza establishments in the United States. In a list of 27 best pizza spots, two Massachusetts locations were recognized: Pinocchio’s Pizza & Subs in Cambridge, known for its Sicilian-style slices, and Palio Pizzeria in Hyannis, noted for its brick-oven pies. A pizzeria in Rhode Island, Pasquale’s Pizzeria Napoletana, also appeared on the list.

In a separate survey conducted by Reviewed, a site within the USA Today network, Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza & Wings was named the best pizza chain for 2026. The chain, which operates in the Northeast and Florida, uses coal-fired ovens to achieve a distinctive char. Donato's Pizza, based in Ohio, was named the runner-up in the chain category.
