The USA Walker Cup Team arrived at Shannon Airport via a United Airlines flight from Newark on Saturday. The team is traveling to Co. Clare for the tournament held at Lahinch Golf Club on September 5–6.

Shannon Airport officials noted the arrival as part of a significant period for golf tourism in the Mid-West region. The area is preparing for several major upcoming events, including the Amgen Irish Open at Trump International Golf Links Doonbeg from September 9–13, and the countdown to the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor in Limerick.
