USAFE Orchestra holds cultural music events in Adana

The USAFE Orchestra, in collaboration with the U.S. Consulate Adana and the 39th Air Base Wing of Incirlik Air Base, held a series of musical and cultural events in Adana and Tarsus from September 22 to 26.

During the visit, the orchestra met with approximately 700 students in local schools, providing them with opportunities to interact with American musicians and learn about music careers. The orchestra also performed local Turkish music, including the piece ‘Adana Köprü Başı’.

On September 24 and 25, the orchestra performed for the military community at Incirlik Air Base. The visit included a reception hosted by U.S. Consul Eric Mehler, which featured a ‘Founders Museum’ exhibition detailing key milestones in the history of the United States. Mehler noted that the events served to celebrate the friendship between the United States and Turkey and to recognize the critical roles played by American Citizen Services Volunteers and Crisis Response Partners.
