USAP undergoes major squad overhaul for 2026/2027 season
French rugby club USAP has undergone a significant squad overhaul for the 2026/2027 season with the goal of maintaining its position in the Top 14. The recruitment strategy focuses on strengthening various sectors of the game, particularly in the backline.
Key arrivals include Super Rugby's all-time leading try scorer Sevu Reece on the wings and center Braydon Ennor, a former All Black who joins from the Crusaders. The club is also bolstering its decision-making roles, adding international experience through scrum-half Luke McGrath and fly-half Jake McIntyre to support players like Paolo Garbisi and Benjamin Urdapilleta.
Braydon Ennor expressed that his move to Perpignan is both a sporting and personal challenge. He noted the desire to step out of his comfort zone after a decade in New Zealand, stating, "I feel like a newcomer, especially with the language barrier. But I want to quickly find my bearings because I know people expect me to bring my experience."
