USB union demands higher allowances for social inclusion trainees in Calabria

The USB Fed. del Sociale union held an assembly in Cetraro to discuss the conditions of trainees involved in social inclusion, autonomy, and rehabilitation programs funded by poverty service quotas.

Saverio Bartoluzzi, the USB FdS Calabria Regional Manager, called for immediate meetings with the Calabria Region to ensure program continuity and to secure higher economic allowances. The union argues that current stipends, often around 400 euros, are insufficient. This demand comes amid economic data showing that approximately 48.8% of the population in Calabria is at risk of poverty or social exclusion, with over 13% of employees experiencing working poverty.
