USB Union legal case regarding Jabil-TMA transition faces dismissal request

A request for dismissal has been filed in a legal case involving Aniello Stellato, a national representative of the USB union, following a complaint by an entrepreneur regarding union criticism of the Jabil-TMA industrial transition.

The dispute centers on the takeover of the Jabil plant in Marcianise by TMA. The USB union had expressed significant doubts regarding the solidity of the industrial project, the prospects for new orders, and the ability of the operation to guarantee long-term employment for workers.

While the transition was initially presented as a solution to industrial disputes—promising investments, production growth, and a reduction in the use of social safety nets (cassa integrazione) by 2026—the union claims that current results do not align with those initial promises. The union maintains that the legal action was an attempt to use the judiciary to silence political and union critiques of the industrial plan.
