USB union protests AIR Campania driver shortages in Naples

The Unione Sindacale di Base (USB) has announced a protest at the Campania Regional Transport Department in Naples. A delegation of at least 60 people will picket to criticize the management of AIR Campania.

The union claims that a recent decision to hire only 45 new drivers is a “drop in the ocean” that fails to address structural staffing shortages in regional depots. USB regional secretary Marco Sansone stated that the current number of drivers is insufficient to meet service demands, particularly with the increase in student commuters. The union is calling for greater investment from the Campania Region to resolve these shortages and improve service regularity.
