USC dedicates new Korean Air Convergence Plaza
The University of Southern California (USC) has officially dedicated the Korean Air Convergence Plaza on its University Park Campus in Los Angeles. The plaza was named in honor of Korean Air and Hanjin Group, which are chaired by USC alumnus Walter Cho.
Located within the university’s engineering corridor, the plaza serves as a collaborative outdoor hub connecting several academic centers, including the USC Viterbi School of Engineering and the USC Mark and Mary Stevens School for Computing and Artificial Intelligence. The space is designed to foster interdisciplinary connection and creativity among students, faculty, researchers, and alumni.
USC President Beong-Soo Kim and Walter Cho led the dedication ceremony. The new space is expected to host academic community members and the high volume of visitors anticipated during the upcoming LA28 Olympic Games.
