USC football secures late victories against Washington and Penn State

The USC Trojans secured two significant late-season victories, overcoming deficits to defeat Washington 25-21 and Penn State 31-23.

In the game against Washington, quarterback Jayden Maiava connected with Tanook Hines for a touchdown to spark a comeback. Defensive tackle Jahkeem Stewart contributed a critical 48-yard fumble return for a touchdown to secure the lead.

Following that win, USC defeated Penn State at Beaver Stadium before a record crowd of 114,419. Senior safety Christian Pierce made a decisive play by punching the ball away from Penn State's Brett Eskildsen late in the fourth quarter to prevent a comeback attempt.
