USC Freiburg defeats Herner TC in DBBL season opener

Herner TC began their Toyota DBBL season with an 82-62 away loss against USC Freiburg. Despite the defeat, the newly assembled Herner squad, led by coach Marek Piotrowski, remained competitive through the first half, trailing by only seven points at halftime.

The momentum shifted in the third quarter when Freiburg executed a significant scoring run, causing Herner TC to lose their offensive and defensive rhythm. This period effectively decided the outcome of the match.

Individual performances included 20 points from American playmaker Isabella Mauricio, who successfully made six three-pointers shortly after joining the team. Natalia Kurach also contributed significantly with 12 points and 8 rebounds.
