USC Trojans advance to Penn State matchup following win over Washington

The No. 19 USC Trojans secured a 25-21 home victory against the Washington Huskies, improving their record to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in Big Ten play. Despite the win, the performance was marked by inconsistency, including nine penalties for 94 yards and a deficit of 21-10 in the third quarter.

Key contributors in the comeback included sophomore defensive tackle Jahkeem Stewart, who scored on a 48-yard fumble return, and sophomore wide receiver Tanook Hines, who caught a 10-yard touchdown. Head Coach Lincoln Riley noted that the team is hitting its stride as they enter a critical midseason stretch.

USC now prepares for a major road test against Penn State in the ‘White Out’ environment. This upcoming game is part of a challenging four-game stretch that also includes matchups against Wisconsin and No. 7 Indiana, as well as a home game against No. 5 Ohio State.
