USC Trojans face Washington Huskies in Week 5 matchup

The No. 18 USC Trojans are set to host the Washington Huskies at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for a Week 5 college football matchup. USC enters the game with a 4-1 record, while Washington holds a 3-1 record.

Key matchups are expected to center on the trenches. Washington’s offense has struggled to establish a consistent ground game, averaging 107.3 rushing yards per game, while USC’s defense has faced challenges containing the run, allowing an average of 4.0 yards per rush.

On offense, USC is led by quarterback Jayden Maiava, who has completed over 70 percent of his passes. Washington’s offense relies on quarterback Demond Williams Jr., who has recorded 1,129 passing yards and seven touchdowns this season. Analysts note that while USC is favored by approximately 9.5 points, Washington’s disciplined defense could keep the game competitive.
