The lawsuit seeks to vacate the conditions that prohibit “unlawful DEI,” “gender ideology,” and the use of grant funds to promote or incentivize illegal immigration. Represented by Public Citizen Litigation Group, Earthjustice and FarmSTAND, the groups contend that compliance would force them to abandon critical food‑access work or relinquish federal funding – Washington Farmland Trust, for example, could lose $676,000 in grants. USDA, which distributes more than $145 billion through 287 programs in FY 2025, has not commented on the case.
