Polish Zloty Weakens as USD/PLN Hits 3.77 Amid Rising Market Volatility

On June 30 2026 the Polish zloty continued to lose value, with the National Bank of Poland reporting an exchange rate of $1 = 3.7708 zł, €1 = 4.2963 zł, CHF 1 = 4.6585 zł and £1 = 4.9887 zł. Earlier in the month the USD/PLN pair surged about 4 % to a year‑to‑date high of 3.7712 before stalling and trading sideways. Analysts attribute the rally to global dollar demand and Poland’s solid growth, while a pause is linked to profit‑taking and softer safe‑haven demand.

Upcoming macro data are expected to increase FX volatility. Preliminary inflation readings from Germany, France, Italy and Poland, as well as U.S. labor reports, are on the calendar. Forecasts suggest Poland’s June CPI could fall to 2.6 % year‑on‑year, down from 3.1 % in May, before rising again later in the year. The outlook for Polish government bonds includes a potential test of 4.10 % on 2‑year yields and 5.30 % on 10‑year yields.

Technical notes on related pairs indicate USD/CHF has stalled near the 100‑hour moving‑average level of 0.8098, while EUR/CHF is trading around 0.9221 after a pullback, both suggesting limited near‑term directional moves.
