Used car market analysis shows price premiums for documented service history

A new report by the Association of Car Dealers and AutoDNA reveals that used vehicles with documented authorized service center (ASO) histories command significantly higher prices. Analyzing 340 model and year combinations from the second and third quarters of 2026, the study found an average price premium of 14.39% for vehicles meeting the criteria of having at least a 10% price difference compared to those without such documentation.

As a specific example, a 2017 Citroën C5 with ASO service history had an average asking price of 34,289 PLN, compared to 27,922 PLN for models without it—a difference of 6,367 PLN. The report also noted a shift in market structure, with the share of cars originating from Polish dealerships in ownership change registrations rising from 40.9% to 41.9% by the end of September.

In a separate market observation, experts warn of “bait” advertisements in online listings. These offers feature prices significantly lower than competitors to rank higher in search results, only to reveal additional fees—such as vehicle preparation or delivery costs—later in the process. Experts advise buyers to request written confirmation of the total final price, including all mandatory fees, before visiting a dealer.
