Ushuaïa TV airs documentaries on English Channel and Seine conservation

At the end of August, French broadcaster Ushuaïa TV will showcase two new documentaries focused on threatened ecosystems. The first program, aired on 22 August, follows marine biologist Pauline Couet as she studies dolphin populations in the heavily trafficked English Channel, the waterway shared by France and the United Kingdom, and assesses how the animals find suitable habitats amid intense ship traffic.

A second documentary, scheduled for 25 August, traces the Seine from its source to its mouth, highlighting the river’s transformation over centuries and the pressures from urbanisation, droughts and climate change on the basin that supports about 17 million people. Scientists, conservationists and other stakeholders are featured as they work to restore habitats and protect biodiversity along the river.
