Ushuaia Civil Defense conducts seismic prevention training

The Ushuaia Municipality, through its Civil Defense Directorate, provided seismic prevention training to judicial personnel in Tierra del Fuego. The session, held at the Conrado Witthaus hall, involved over 100 participants, including in-person attendees in Ushuaia and virtual connections from Río Grande and Tolhuin.

Organized alongside the Labor Welfare Office of the Superior Court of Justice, the training covered regional seismological conditions and the seismic hazard map developed by the National Institute for Seismic Prevention (INPRES). Participants learned essential prevention measures to adopt before, during, and after an earthquake. The initiative is part of the institution's Psychophysical Security Protocol aimed at strengthening emergency preparedness and organizational tools for judicial workers.
