Ushuaia councilman proposes regulations for home restaurants and mobile services

Councilman Nicolás Pelloli has introduced legislative initiatives in Ushuaia to regulate new commercial modalities, specifically targeting home-based gastronomic ventures and mobile tire repair services.

The first proposal seeks to formalize ‘closed-door’ gastronomic spaces. These businesses operate via reservations, often within private residences, offering limited menus and small groups during specific seasons. The initiative aims to establish sanitary controls, food handling standards, and bromatological inspections to ensure consumer safety and protect the city’s reputation.

The second project focuses on establishing rules for mobile tire repair services (gomerías móviles). Pelloli stated that the regulatory framework must evolve to match current economic realities and provide legal certainty for entrepreneurs who wish to operate within the law.
