Ushuaia hosts 24th edition of Fiesta de las Colectividades

The 24th edition of the Fiesta de las Colectividades has commenced in Ushuaia, Argentina, featuring cultural exhibitions from 22 foreign communities. The event includes traditional gastronomy, handicrafts, music, and dance performances.

As part of the festivities, a “Night of World Dances” was held at the Niní Marshall Hall, showcasing artistic performances from 15 different collectives, including representatives from Argentina, Peru, Scotland, Austria, Bolivia, Germany, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Colombia, Italy, Croatia, Chile, Spain, the Arab States, and Poland.

During the opening night, Siomara Aguirres of the Scottish community was crowned ambassador, with Rosa Nunura of Peru taking second place. The festival is organized by the Municipality of Ushuaia in collaboration with the Association of Foreign Collectivities in Ushuaia (ACEDU).
