Ushuaia Integrated Naval Base to receive 7.6 billion peso infrastructure tender
The Argentine Ministry of Defense has authorized a national public tender exceeding 7.6 billion pesos for construction projects at the Ushuaia Integrated Naval Base in Tierra del Fuego. Under Resolution 733/2026, signed by Minister Carlos Alberto Presti, the project involves the construction of modular warehouses and various complementary works.
The tender, identified as Licitación Pública Nacional N° 38-0502-LPU26, is expected to have an execution period of 548 days. This initiative is part of a broader investment project (BAPIN 100.426) aimed at developing a pier, connected infrastructure, and acquiring machinery and equipment on the eastern side of the Ushuaia peninsula.
Funding for the works will be drawn from the Ministry of Defense budget, specifically from the Argentine Navy's General Staff allocations. The project includes multi-year investment commitments for 2027, 2028, and 2029. The Navy's General Directorate of Material will oversee the construction, while the Infrastructure Headquarters will handle inspections.
