Ushuaia introduces Architectural Heritage Map
The Municipality of Ushuaia has introduced its Architectural Heritage Map as part of the XII Binational Congress of Architecture in Patagonia. The initiative, led by the Secretariat of Environmental, Cultural, and Educational Policies, aims to promote the diffusion, conservation, and preservation of the city's historical identity.
During the presentation, officials and professionals conducted a tour of the 'Pueblo Viejo' area, visiting significant sites including the Leviñanco-García house, Casa Pena (home to the City Museum), the Antigua Casa Beban, and Casa Torres. The program also integrated environmental heritage by visiting the Bahía Encerrada and Nave Tierra urban reserves to discuss sustainable architecture and its relationship with the local environment.
