Ushuaia library hosts Tierra del Fuego poetry tribute

As part of the Tierra del Fuego Poetry Week, the Biblioteca Popular Sarmiento in Ushuaia hosted an event dedicated to local poetic expressions. The gathering served to honor the literary trajectories of Anahí Lazzaroni and José María Castiñeira de Dios.

Organized by the Biblioteca Popular Sarmiento and the Biblioteca Popular Anahí Lazzaroni, the event was coordinated by Marcelo Murphy and included various special guests. Omar Becerra, the Secretary of Parliamentary Relations and Political Articulation, attended on behalf of the Municipality of Ushuaia to deliver greetings from Mayor Walter Vuoto.

During the event, Becerra emphasized the importance of supporting institutions that preserve local culture and identity. The celebration highlighted poetry as a vital tool for constructing identity and sharing the cultural history of Tierra del Fuego.
